Happy New Year to you and all your family.
Last week we learned about the Wise Men and what it means to be a Wise Man today.
Here is what we found:
1. You have to chose to seek the Lord and follow Him. It is a personal choice. The star that led the Wise Men to Jesus was Huge and Bright, easily seen by any who would look up to see it. the Bible does not tell us of anyone but the Wise Men who followed that star to find Jesus. Just the Wise Men chose to follow that star all the way to Bethlehem to find Jesus, we can chose to follow Jesus today even if no one else does.
2. We smelled Frankincense and Myrrh. Just like those smells. We can let God transform us into smelling like Jesus too. The bible says we are the fragrance of Christ to this world.
3. The Wise Men worshipped Christ Jesus. We can worship Him too by putting all our mind, and all our heart focused on God. That is worship, even if we are drawing a picture for God or just looking out the window at a beautiful sunset and talking to God about how awesome He is… Worship is all about Him.
Awana’s started out with a BANG this 2010!! We have begun a 10 week session on the life of Joseph!
Last night we learned that no matter what happened in the past, no matter who our family is… GOD has chosen us and He CAN USE US to love this world and do great things for HIM.

Kidz Zone just started a short series on “Life is a Great Race”
We learned that we need the fuel of “Worship” in our lives.
Worship is just being AWED by GOD and His Goodness. For example; Isn’t it awesome how God holds all that water up in those clouds,, how does He do that! Isn’t it awesome how God keeps all those countless stars and planets in orbit without even one falling!
A= awesome W= worship E= every D=day.. So I challenge you to stop today and think of 5 things that is awesome about GOD, tell Him you think He is Awesome too!!
