Hang On! The 4th week in the One Month to Celebrate Series

February 1st, 2010 by Pastor Karon

Hang on to God’s Word! It will never pass away. God’s Word will never change. Believe it by looking for yourself at who Jesus Christ is and what He promised. He is our road map through this life. Advice and instruction on daily living with God and man. 1000’s of promises to stand on and a sneak peak at the end of times.

In today’s culture “truth” is at best elusive, and a matter of everyone’s opinion. Praise God that He reveals Himself to us in His Word as THE ONE AND ONLY GOD. Who never changes, is Sovereign and Holy. The One and Only God who died for us and will come back to take us to be with Him forever. God who has the power to keep His Own and He invites us into personal relationship with HIM!! How totally awesome is that!

Read the Bible Book Marks with your child this week. Help them see you hanging on to God’s Word.

Monday: Proverbs 4:10-15

Tuesday: Proverbs 29:6&7, 11, 15, 17

Wednesday: Mark 9:35-42

Thursday: James 1:2-8

Friday: James 1:13-18

Pastor Karon,

Whats up this week!

January 22nd, 2010 by Pastor Karon

Dear Parents and Children: Over comers in Christ!

This week we continued looking at the ONE MONTH TO CELEBRATE while our parents are in the One Month to Live.

This week we studied that life is kind of like a… not box of chocolates… but a roller coaster.

Life has its ups and downs, curves and dips. But GOD is in Control all the time. He has a plan prepared and happening before our day starts. Look again at Joseph in the empty cistern, deciding what they are going to do with him in Genesis 37:24-25. Remember life moved slower then, than now. Camel caravans take time to walk, load, and get anywhere,,, but the BIBLE says there it was, at the right place and the right time, just in time to sell Joseph to them.  Coincidence?? No Way! Remember God is Sovereign. He is not only in your past, present and future, He is also outside of Time as GOD Creator. He knows exactly when you need a rescue and even though it may look like another disaster,, God is in it molding you and building you to great things for Him. Just like God was with Joseph, God is with you!

We considered that Genesis 12:2-3 is for us, our life is meant to be lived not only to be blessed by GOD THE TREASURE, but to also bless others, and be a blessing. WE bless others by our steadfast faithfulness, hard work, good attitude and love.

Parents you are part of a bigger picture than just what we can see. Remember the Bible tells us the what can be seen is temporary and what is unseen is eternal. You cannot see what great paths God has marked out for you, or your children, but you can feed them daily with the True word of God, read the Bible to your children, using God’s Word to bless, correct, instruct and teach them.

I am praying for you, Over comer, Victorious, Chosen, Empowered, Child of God.

Believe it and live it!

Kidz News!!

January 14th, 2010 by Pastor Karon

Good Morning Family!

ONE Month to Celebrate started off with a Bang!

This Sunday Kidz Zone learned about living:

1. The Abundant Life God wants us to live. John 10:10 Here we stuck our finger in a glass of water then removed it,,, look no change in the water, God made us to make a difference in our world,, like putting our finger into putty to leave a mark, God designed us to leave a legacy in our world.

2. We are designed to do Great Things. Hebrews 12:1  Just consider our awesome our bodies are made!! GOD made this great body Ready to GO! Then He gave us the Bible to clearly mark the path He designed for us.

3. We are Designed for A Purpose. Ephesians 2:10 & John 15:16  We looked at some beautiful pictures, with a hole cut out in the center of the page. Each hole was the same size,, to discover: God has a beautiful individual plan for each of us. We may look alike on the outside, we may fit into other pictures but… but each of us are designed to fit PERFECTLY into the Plan GOD made for us, and only we can complete THAT plan.

Parents please read the Bible Book Marks with Your Child; these 3-5 minute daily Bible verses are to restate what we learned, help them to remember and meditate on what God has for us, and to open times of sharing with your child.   Help your child bring them back to church for points and rewards.

Pre-school Aged Classes took a “trip” just like Joseph, Mary, and little Jesus did, we learned that God cares for us and protects us, He gives us families to care for us.

This Weekend is JBQ!!! Go Team!!

Bible Bookmarks. What are they?

July 7th, 2009 by Pastor Karon

Dear Parents

Have you ever had a job to do and did not have the tools to do it with? Do you remember the frustration of “making it work” with a tool that was not made for the job?  OR did you have the right tool, but did not know how to use it? Well that is where Bible Book Marks come in.

Each week your child is given a Bible Book Mark with 4-8 verses to be read 5 days during the week. The Bible Book Mark will reflect what we focused on that week during Sunday Kidz Zone. When they mark each day as being read, and bring it back to me,  I reward them with BGMC Bucks they can use to buy treats in the BGMC Store at church.

Bible Book Marks are a tool YOU can give your child. A tool to defeat the enemy of their souls, hearts, and your home; PRICELESS!!

Please read them with your child. Mark off each day as you read them; discuss what God is saying to them and you as you read each day.  Demonstrating to your child how to use God’s Word in everyday life can bring both of you closer together, to the LORD, and to personal victory in your lives.

Read them, Mark them,  Bring them back to church in order for your child to be rewarded.

Blessings,

Pastor Karon
